IAIN WEBSTER 1938 - 2014

Watercolours & Ink Strokes of Bridge of Allan & Beyond

About

A small collection of art in memoriam, and to celebrate the life of Iain Webster. Iain was an architect and town planner with a lifelong love of watercolour and art in all its forms. Born in Musselburgh in 1938, he studied architecture at Edinburgh College of Art and spent his working life as a planner, first in Falkirk and later with Stirling Council. He lived in Bridge of Allan from the mid-1970s until his death in 2014. Quiet, cheerful, and endlessly creative (and always fixing or building something), he captured the places he loved most on paper. You’ll find many pieces inspired by Bridge of Allan and the Stirlingshire area, along with sections for greater Scotland and beyond.
